Research Article
Original theoretical, computational, experimental or field research with a clear engineering contribution.
For Authors
Start with a clear engineering contribution, transparent methods and evidence matched to the claim.
Article types
Research content normally receives external peer review. Editorial content is labelled with its review status.
Original theoretical, computational, experimental or field research with a clear engineering contribution.
Critical synthesis with a transparent search or selection method and an engineering research agenda.
A concise original result with methods and evidence sufficient for assessment.
A documented implementation with context, baseline, outcome measures and transfer limitations.
A well-supported engineering argument or research agenda, with factual and evaluative claims distinguished.
Commissioned content, clearly labelled as editorially reviewed rather than externally peer reviewed.
Submission checklist
Use this checklist to help editors and reviewers assess the work efficiently.
Confirm that the paper fits an AIRES section and states its engineering contribution.
Ensure all authors approve the manuscript, author order and corresponding author.
Disclose preprints, related conference papers and overlapping versions.
Report methods, data provenance, evaluation conditions, baselines and limitations.
Include funding, conflicts, ethics, data, code, CRediT and AI-use statements as relevant.
Use English, define engineering units and provide four to six keywords.
Publication fee
There is no submission or review fee. The standard APC applies only to accepted externally reviewed articles. Waivers or discounts may be requested through the editorial office and are considered individually.
